AOCM3900

Gigabit Aggregation Switch

AOCM3900

About the Product

The latest upgrade to the AOCM3900 series adds 10Gigabit interfaces to all L3 models of our compact pizza box series switches. With IPv6, MPLS and wire-speed switching capabilities the device is effective in aggregation and access networks. Newly added hotswappable redundant power supplies allow for increased realiability.

The PBN AOCM3900 series switching products provide highperformance and low-cost point-to-point FTTx access and aggregation switches with an extensive feature set. With their wirespeed switching capabilities these devices can be used in remote headends as well as in a central headend aggregation deployment scenario.

Within the AOCM3900 series there are four models available to fit every customers need.

The AOCM3940/3956 SFP-based Gigabit switch is ideal for connecting full-speed residential and business subscribers with bandwidth up to 1000 Mbps (symmetrical). Integrated 8x 1/10 Gbps uplink SFP-Ports allows high bandwidth redundant uplink connectivity. This switch is also an excellent fit for decentralized deployments as well a central aggregation of multiple headends. Its fully-featured L3 protocol set allows for easy connection to redundant backbones and IP uplinks.

  • Up to 256 Gbps switching fabric, hardware routing, wirespeed L3 switching, packet forwarding rate up to 192 Mbps
  • Up to 48x 1GE ports and 8x 10GE ports with high-performance ASIC switch chip
  • SFP-based Gigabit optical-fiber ports support up to 80 km long-distance connections
  • The power module support dual back-up, hot-swap, seamless switching in the downtime without manual intervention
  • Supports ISSU (In-Service Software Upgrade)
  • Innovative virtual cluster switching technique makes full use of each link in the physical devices, avoiding STP blocking and protects the original link to the maximum extent

  • Adopts cluster technology and realizes dedicated management by single IP
  • Open management access including Console port, Telnet, Web and SNMP
  • Realizes the level-based packet schedule and packet protection, prevents DoS-/TCP-related SYN Flood, UDP Flood, Broadcast Storm or large traffic attacks
  • Supports L2 and L3 multicast routing protocol, MPLS VPN and the IPv6 protocol suite
  • Supports the plaintext or MD5 authentication of relevant routing protocol, URPF, deep packet inspection hardware packet, control packet and data packet and filtering technology
