Almere, The Netherlands – September 17th 2015 – Pacific Broadband Networks (PBN), supplier of products and solutions that enable video, voice, data and special services to run over optical broadband networks, today announced its strategic partnership plan on AIMA3000 with Technetix Group Ltd (Albourne, West Sussex, UK), a leading global broadband cable and telecommunications equipment provider.

The AIMA3000 is a new high-density, low-power consumption headend platform allowing broadband cable MSOs to build or upgrade their networks to meet changing multi-service access requirements. The product simplifies the transition to IP networks by providing a complete range of intelligent RF and optical modules for HFC, RFoG, PON video overlay and other applications.

Jürgen Hatheier, VP of International Sales at PBN, said: “The PBN and Technetix strategic partnership combines two very complementary players to a global alliance for end-to-end solutions in both inside and outside plant. Through our strong local presence on four continents and the close relationship to major MSOs, we define our joint R&D efforts where the broadband cable industry needs them.”

Nathan Francis, COO at Technetix, said: “We are excited to bring the AIMA3000 to market in Q3 2015; the platform has been tested specifically for interoperability with Technetix optical nodes to ensure a complete, end-to-end solution.

I am proud to announce that Technetix is now able to offer a complete range of headend and access transmission products to enable broadband cable MSOs to migrate towards IP networks.
Our deep fibre technology now provides operators with the comfort of industry-leading density, power-efficientmodular design to meet their current and future needs.”

Technetix is also launching its DOCSIS 3.0 transponder in conjunction with its optical nodes to provide a comprehensive access platform to operators who require a modular approach to their investment criteria.

Technetix will offer design, configuration and repair of the AIMA3000 platform exclusively to tier one operators in Europe, USA and LatAm. PBN will continue to offer the same solutions in the AsiaPac market and through its existing sales offices and regional distribution partners. Both companies have a local presence in their respective territories, providing sales, sales engineering, warehousing and distribution services.
